When Eileen and Ed first get married they take a small apartment in a multi-family home. It was owned by the Orlandos who later sold it to Eileen and Ed and became their renters.

Eileen always admired the big houses in and around Bronxville. She finally got the house of her dreams in that area – it was the mansion that she dreamed of all her life.

Bronx Community College

Ed was a professor at the Bronx Community College. He was offered an advancement there and several other jobs that had more prestige and paid more but Ed was happy being a teacher and research at the community college.

Lawrence Hospital

Eileen had her master’s degree in nursing and was employed at the Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville where she assumed a supervisory position.
