Eileen Leary

Eileen Tumulty is ten-years-old when she accompanies her father to his favorite bar after school every day. While her father – the most popular guy in the bar – guzzles beer and glows of the admiration of his drunken friends, young Eileen does her homework alone at a table in the corner. Eileen’s mother is depressed and unhappy in her dysfunctional marriage to an alcoholic. When she has a miscarriage her hopes for some joy in the future is gone and she turns to alcohol.
