Summary

In Chapter 9, Melissa dreamed about the silver ballet shoe and a broken branch. When she woke, she learned from Rosemary that Patrick’s condition was the same. The children were in the kitchen with their grandfather, Bill, who was fixing breakfast. When Melissa suggested they would go and see their father after they ate, she noticed they all seemed reluctant.
