Anita

Anita is the wife of Adam and the mother of Laura. Anita lives her entire adult life in France, remaining in a relationship with Adam since their college days, but she was born and raised in the African island country of Mauritius. Adam and Anita visit Mauritius early in their relationship when Antica's father, Philip, is killed in an automobile accident. Anita works in the town writing small pieces for the local newspaper.

Anita quickly hires Adéle as a nanny for Laura after a chance meeting, and discovering their shared Mauritian heritage.
