Summary

In Chapter 24, before Jean leaves her house, she sorts through her files and takes out one with a red X on the front. She indicates that this is “it” (107). The file contains the finished formula to cure Wernicke’s aphasia. Jean did not want anyone to know she had the cure yet because she wanted as much time as possible to get Sonia talking again.

In Chapter 25, Jean and Lin are excited to see each other again. Lin reminds Jean that their counters will go back on once they finish the cure. She suggests they do something to try to end the nightmare. Jean kids about reversing the serum and spiking the White House water supply. Lin changes the subject and takes Jean to Lorenzo’s office for coffee.
