Chapter Four Summary

Stephanie and Diesel leave Elaine's house. As Diesel drives, he explains to Stephanie the powers that Ring once possessed. In addition to tampering with electricity, Ring could make lightning. Diesel doesn't know how much power Ring has but assumes that his powers have weakened with age. Diesel also says that he doesn't think Sandy will contact ask for help because he has always worked alone. During the conversation, Valerie calls from the mall to ask for advice on Christmas shopping.

Diesel senses something is awry and makes a u-turn. As Diesel nears Elaine's house, the pair notice smoke and hear rumbling coming from that direction. Ring has attacked. Fortunately for Elaine, Ring attacked the wrong house. Instead of hitting Sandy's house with firebombs, Ring managed to destroy the next-door neighbor's garage. No one.....
