Chapter 34-37 Summary
Cross heads to Las Vegas, just after news of the celebrity murders reaches him in California. He notes that, this time, the killers failed to hang the bodies. Outside the Bellagio, a record crowd appears. The story already broke the news. The notoriety of the victims fuels the fire. An amazing number of Goths crowd the hotel, as well. Cross hopes the authorites will ask to see footage of the crowd. He assumes the perpetrators are among the spectators.
Inside the luxury suite, the bodies lie in a bathtub. Cross notes that once again the victims were beautiful physical specimens. They also bare no defensive wound, as if they knew and were comfortable with their attackers. In addition, all valuables remain in the room.
