Not What Was Summary

In this poem a rose blooms and lives briefly before its petals fall. The air is music that widens until it is lost to poetry, and the rose too is lost to the vastness of space. This poetry is spread in lines upon another age that was never written because the thought was confined to the space where the rose bloomed before it disappeared.
