A Vampire's Preference for Love and Companionship

Each vampire that is portrayed in The Vampire Lestat has a different feeling on love and companionship. Although they each have a different perspective on these things, they feel very strongly about them and some of them share common characteristics. For instance, Lestat, Armand, and Marius all want the love and companionship of others. However, they want it on their terms - which are distinctly different. Lestat wants someone to love and who will love him back unconditionally. He wants someone to live with someone who shares his love of mortals and who will want to be out with them constantly.
