Gabrielle's first night as a vampire is a long one. She and Lestat wander throughout Paris and find her the first victim. Lestat explains everything that Magus had told him before he died. Gabrielle's activities begin to exhaust Lestat since he cannot seem to convince her to go home to the tower. She needs to go places, investigate, and test out her powers.
