Mia, or Princess Amelia as she is officially known, is writing a screenplay entitled, "ME, A PRINCESS???? YEAH, RIGHT." Scene 44 opens on Mia Thermopolis' messy room that looks out over the inner courtyard where Mia and her cat are when her mother, Helen Thermopolis, enters to tell Mia that the limo is waiting for them. But Mia can't find her journal, she tells her mother. She can not go to Genovia for the summer without it. Helen finds a composition book but it isn't the one Mia is looking for. The one she finds is from her freshman year, a full year and a half before. But it reminds her of her first Valentine's Day with Michael.
