Book 1, Chapter 9 Summary

Back at the Shadow Gallery, Evey is upset initially over V for involving her in a murder. He only told Evey exactly what she needed to know. She later apologizes to V for the outburst. She accepts responsibility for her involvement in the bishop's death, but swears that she will not kill again - even for V. Evey does truly want to help V, but she does not yet know exactly what is involved. In order for her to know that, she would need to know his plan which he has not disclosed to her.
