Summary

The next chapter is titled “poems.” Doyle describes how creative and playful her son Chase had been until he was given a cell phone, and goes on to describe how, over time, he became more and more distant, clearly addicted to his phone. She discusses how she, Abby, and Craig talked together about how best to help him, but did not really do anything about it until one day, Doyle went for a walk with him and they talked.
