Unnamed Narrator (“Three Exhausting Weeks,” “Alan Bean Plus Four,” & “Steve Wong is Perfect”)

The narrator is part of a group of four friends, including Anna, MDash, and Steve Wong, who appear in three of the short stories. The narrator is an average man with a steady job, but he lacks ambition or any special skill. He is the main focus of “Three Exhausting Weeks” in which he dates Anna for three weeks and is subjected to her busy, exercise-filled lifestyle, determining that he would rather live by his own rules.
