Solomon Northup

A free black man born in the state of New York in July 1808, Solomon Northup is a kind, respected, and faithful man who seeks to find his way in the world. He is married to a free woman named Anne, and they have three children together by the names of Elizabeth, Alonzo, and Margaret.
