Summary

Chapter 15 – Jonah, his dad, and Jonah’s lawyer are at the police station. Apart from Sergei, four cops have been killed, and Jonah is the only lead the NYPD has. Jonah cannot understand how Caitlin could be a murderer. Grace Grant questions Jonah about the evening. Jonah wonders if Caitlin could be a vampire. He feels oddly protective of her. The police believe Jonah knows where Caitlin is hiding, but Jonah denies this. The lawyer says such accusations are conjecture. Just then, Caitlin texts Jonah.

Chapter 16 – It is one a.m., and Caitlin worries about not hearing back from Jonah. She feels guilty for liking Caleb. Her phone then dies. She decides to head to Penn Station and leave New York.

Chapter 17 – Caitlin wakes up in Central Park, too tired to have gone to the train station. She feels hunger pains once more...
