Summary

In Chapter 14, “Interview Exclusive” (II), Colman threatens to stop talking to Sophie, but he then says that he cannot bring himself to stop talking to her about Joss. Colman says that, when he was a teenager, he was lazy and often acted out. He verbally lashed out against his parents. Colman was also often persecuted by the police due to his race. Colman thinks that Joss was jealous that Colman had a man’s body in addition to a man’s mind/identity. Colman often did not listen to Joss, and there was always some emotional distance between them. Colman felt generally unmotivated because he felt that he could never live up to his famous father’s accomplishments.
