Parcel 8 illustrates Ned Kelly being drawn back into the happenings of his family, which will eventually lead to the end of his quiet life. Ned runs into Dan, extremely drunk and with a group of loud mouthed boys, and finds that Dan has become a drunk and a rogue, who has broken off from his family. Ned argues with him, and Ned tries to keep them out of trouble since the cops follow.
