Summary

The next chapter is titled “Breakfast of Champions.” Jenny and June are able to enter Nana Jean's house because the door is unlocked. Jenny says they will have the “Breakfast of Champions” and she mixes soda with sugar and honey, then adds alcohol to her own. Jenny chugs it down in a few gulps and encourages June to do the same. June does not mind that Jenny stirs it with her finger and she is amazed at the sugar buzz she gets from the drink. She discovers the ninth dimension is now inside Nana Jean's kitchen. They laugh and dance around, waking Ziggy and Nana Jean. They all hug, and June wonders if Angela is still standing at the window. June knows Angela would never walk down to Nana Jean's to take June home.
