Eden Summary

Eden begins sleeping with Jerome in order to be in his good graces. He says he is in love with her, but she is not in love with him. Eden decides to play on his emotions in order to find a way to escape. She convinces him to run away with her, and Jerome wants to go to Salt Lake City where his brother lives.

Eden Analysis

Eden uses her body in order to seduce and manipulate Jared. In so doing, she engages in a form of prostitution. She is able to get what she wants: a chance at escape. It is a risk far worse than the risk that Eden took by sleeping with and seeing Andrew behind the backs of her parents.
