Summary

Eduardo / Geri / Christina – The author briefly describes her departure from the Eagles school, saying that after a couple of years she was just burned out. She then comments that she kept in touch with a number of her former students by going to Santa Monica Boulevard, and by attending performances at community centers and bars. The latter, she says, were always important to her as a lesbian because it was a place where she could let her guard down and feel safe, adding that in her experience, it was much the same for people questioning gender identity and sexuality. It was at one visit to a community center where she saw a drag performance by Eduardo, now going by the names Geri and Christina.
