Summary

Juliet and Mr. Prendergast had a conversation over coffee about various ideas and doctrines and how they can become dangerous to society. Daisy interrupted to inform them that their co-worker, Joan Timpson, had just died. Juliet was shaken, she had just visited Joan in the hospital, where she was recovering from a minor operation. Back in her office later, she saw Perry walk by through the open door. Juliet walked to Broadcasting House to hear the recording of an orchestra, and when she returned to Schools, Daisy informed her that Lester Pelling had been fired because of a complaint about the voice actor using the f-word. Hartley came to meet Juliet so they could search for Pavel. Hartley wondered if he found his way back to Russia.
