Chapter 19 Summary

Keyes goes to the Shiver house to talk to Reed Shivers, Kara Lynn's father. Keyes tells him of the seriousness intent of the Nights of December, and the great risk in being in the parade. Shivers waves away the risk and tells his daughter that they aren't interested in losing the opportunity to participate. However, Kara Lynn wants to hear Keyes side of the situation before they decide. Shivers tells her that it is the most important moment in her life, and that he has contacted Lloyds of London about a kidnapping policy to cover her in case it comes to that.
