After Tommy Tigertail gets Keyes to shore in his airboat, he is finally taken to a hospital on top of a bus, but the briefcase containing the evidence he was given to prove the murders is lost in the swamp. The story that ran in the paper the next day mentioned that Keyes was on a canoe trip when he was abducted by two men wearing wigs and Halloween masks. Viceroy and Bernal are told to go to the Orange Bowl committee and apply for jobs as security guards for the upcoming parade. On the way there in Tigertail's Cadillac, they argue about Bernal's previous experience with a group known as the First Weekend in July. He screwed up several times, including dropping anti-Castro leaflets meant for Cuba on Kingston, Jamaica by accident......
