Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 Summary

In Chapter 1, Dezanee Cross and her cousin Brandt are skateboarding off the roof of a barn into hay for fun, adrenaline, and to impress the part goers down below. Once finished, Dez leaves for home, trying to avoid a scene with a boy she recently made out with while drunk. As she walks through the woods between her own and her cousins house, she realizes it is one in the morning, and hopes to get home and in bed before her father comes home.
