Chatpers 17 through Epilogue Summary

In chapter seventeen, Robyn, Corrie, Chris and Kevin return safely and relate the events of their days away. Robyn says she learned that the hospital is in operation, that they are treating people who are ill or injured, and that at least two of those involved in the lawn mower explosion died of their injuries. The soldiers are apparently very conscious of the fact that their actions will be evaluated by the Red Cross and are trying to make sure things don't overly brutal. Despite this good news, they also reveal that there have been about forty deaths. Robyn and the others are hidden in a house when a detail of civilians arrive with orders to clean it up for habitation. They talk to people they know and learn some important details, including that the prisoners are being well...
