Section 4: The Walk, pages 116-138 Summary

As the sun rises, only Ora and Avram lie on the edge of the field, and when Avram asks where they are, Ora explains Sami dumped them here, somewhere in Galilee. Her body hurts from carrying Avram down the steps and through the fields until they had collapsed here. Ora informs him they are going to explore the area, but Avram is confused and claims he needs to be at home. She promises to explain on the way, but she must keep moving and cannot stay in any one place for too long. As Avram follows Ora toward the path, she recalls seeing him last night and noticing how much he has changed in the past three years.
