Summary

In Chapter 16, Lara Jean is approached by Peter Kavinsky who wants to talk to her about a letter she wrote to him. Lara Jean insists that she did not write him a letter, before realizing that one of the letters in her hatbox was addressed to Peter. Horrified, Lara Jean takes the letter from Peter and reads it. In Chapter 17, Lara Jean races home to search for the hatbox which she discovers is missing. She thinks of all the boys who will have received a letter from her: including Josh. She calls Margot to get her advice but realizes that she has woken her up because of the time difference. Lara Jean decides she needs to solve this problem for herself.

In Chapter 18, Lara Jean asks her dad if he knows what happened to the hatbox and he says he may have taken...
