Part Two, Castaways in Time: Chapters 12 & 13 Summary

Captain Grove sends a scouting party over the mountainous desert. The climate for March is very cold, and they encounter more and more orbs that they have come to think of as eyes. They come to a disjunction that appears to be another stitch in time. Bisesa steps across warily. There is an animal musk foreign to the time frame. Bisesa scans the horizon and can see glaciers. One of the scouting parties discovers a large army, and Casey receives a signal from space. It is time to return to Jamrud. Bisesa notices figures walking on the distant glacier.
