Chapters 63-67 and Epilogue Summary

In chapter 63, Black is killed by a skinwalker as he continues to lie, nearly unconscious, in the Sun Kiva. In chapter 64, Sloane sees a shape approach the medical tent and believes it is Nora. Sloane fires, hitting the figure. However, when she goes to inspect the body, there are bloody prints in the sand, but they look more like an animal's prints than a human. Sloane sees Nora making a run for the ladder to the city. Sloane then sees a terrifying figure, dressed in a cloak made of animal pelts, with a gunshot in its gut. Frightened, Sloane runs after Nora as the strange, animal-like thing follows her. In chapter 65, Nora runs into the city and heads for one of the towers when she hears Sloane behind her. Sloane tells Nora that something is following her...
