Cliff Nelson

Cliff is one of the three main characters. He comes from a wealthy family and has an estranged relationship with both of his parents. His mother is a socialite and philanthropist that fills her schedule with charity events. His father is a successful editor that neglects Cliff and does not give him the attention that he desires. Cliff, an aspiring writer, dreams of being the next Kerouac or Hemingway. However, he spends more time drinking, smoking marijuana, and talking about philosophy and literature than actually honing his craft. He drops out of college and is cut off from his family.
