Chapter Seven The Band

In the summer of 1968 Big Pink has come out and the Band is just beginning to become famous. Levon meets Libby Titus. Libby will become the mother of Levon's one and only biological child, a daughter Amy. Libby Titus' family moves to Woodstock so her father can help his brother-in-law produce the Batman comic strips. In 1965 Libby marries Barry Titus, the grandson of Helena Rubinstein, who invents makeup. They have a son in 1966, Ezra. In the spring of 1968, Libby leaves her husband and she and Ezra move to Gramercy Park. One day one of her friends comes by and wants to know if she wants to go to Woodstock and meet the Band. When she meets Levon he is arguing on the street with someone. She thinks she has never seen anyone as good looking...
