Summary

In Chapter 16, at 10:32 a.m., Tomas reports that Tyler laughs, says no and then shoots a bullet over his head when he sees the students are escaping. Tyler then fires into the group remaining until his gun in empty. Tomas thinks perhaps they have caused more death by trying to free the students. He sees Sylv trying to make a move toward Autumn, who is in the process of crawling off the stage, but Fareed grabs him, keeping him from moving forward. He tells Tomas that Sylv is trying to distract Tyler to give them a chance to get out. When a student right next to them gets shot, Tomas knows Fareed is right.
