Summary

In Chapter 7, at 10:12 a.m. Sylv explains how the people of Opportunity included the Browne family as one of its own until Mr. Browne began drinking and Tyler became hateful. Autumn had not seemed to notice how her brother and father had withdrawn from and eventually been ejected from the fold of the town. The only time Autumn had mentioned the changes in her brother was when Sylv had told her that Tyler had found out about them during junior prom. Because she knew that Tyler was the only person whom Autumn considered a family member, she did not want to tell her how much he had really changed.
