Summary

In “Right to Remain Silent,” the police search Tracy’s house for Jamal. Quincy’s older sister, Beverly, is on the force. After her father was shot and killed by police, she decided to become one herself. Jamal used to have a major crush on her, and she seems concerned about him, but Sheriff Brighton is cold and callous about the search. He tells Tracy and her mother that Angela Herron was found murdered by the Pike. She called 911 before she died, and the operator heard her say Jamal’s name. The officers leave Beverly to guard the house for the night. Once the others are gone, Beverly explains that an eyewitness saw Jamal running from the scene. His letterman jacket was found placed over Angela’s body. Beverly urges them to get Jamal to turn himself in. When...
