Summary

In “Mission (Un)Accomplishsed,” Jamal continues to ignore Tracy. Tracy and her family live in Crowning Heights, which is a poor, rural community in Galveston County. They drive forty minutes every morning to get to town. Tracy catches a ride with her mother, who is still angry with her. Her mother works at Evans Antiques. The Evans’s son, Dean, is Tracy’s best friend. She is confused about her feelings for him because her mother tells her to keep her distance, and his mother seems to hate her, but she has romantic feelings for him. He became close to her during her father’s trial and encouraged her to write to Innocence X the first time.
