Friends Interfering with Relationships

This theme is first shown in the very start of the book during the first story. Yunior talks about how after he cheated with Magda he was able to win her over and start their relationship anew. All of Magda’s friends were against the idea of her being with Yunior. They were constantly saying bad things about her and encouraging her to try and date other men. When he proposes going on vacation, they tell her that she should just go with him to enjoy the vacation.
