Part 3: Chapters 10-12 Summary

Nine years later finds Soo-Ja still married to Min. They have moved to Seoul in the aftermath of Min's parents moving to America. Soo-Ja manages a hotel in Min's name while Min refuses to work because of a previous back injury. However, Soo-Ja has dreams of making a great deal of money in a real estate deal not only to provide for her family, but to pay back her father the money he gave to her father-in-law. Soo-Ja learns that the money she has saved for the investment is not enough, but the business man gives her a month to come up with the rest.
