Chapters 5 and 6 Summary

The police come to the door, presumably to tell him about his parents' car accident. He can't and doesn't answer the door. The phone rings and it is the doctor from the hospital. She tells Bobby that both of his parents are fine, but that he needs to make arrangements to stay with an adult or have an adult come stay with him until his parents are released from the hospital.

Bobby dresses again as a big bundle of winter clothes and takes a taxi cab to the hospital and asks to see Emily Phillips. When the nurse says he has to be a relative and get the doctor's permission to see her, Bobby sneaks into an empty patient room and becomes invisible by taking off all his clothes.
