Richmond

Richmond is the capital of Virginia. It is near Richmond that Bartle and his mother live. It is on the outskirts of Richmond where Bartle ultimately finds an apartment.

Al Tafar

Al Tafar is a city in Nineveh Province, in Iraq. It is where Murphy and Bartle serve with their unit, and where Murphy is killed, and his body dumped into the river.

Iraq

Iraq is located in the Middle East, and is the location of Nineveh Province and the city of Al Tafar. It is where the Iraq War is waged.

Fort Dix

Fort Dix is located in New Jersey, and is where Bartle, Sterling, and Murphy train with their unit before deployment. It is also where Bartle first meets Murphy and his mother, and promises his mother to bring...
