Summary

Chapter 66 is set on Monday, Nov. 8. Anna recalls the moments when she began to regain consciousness after the car wreck. The car was upside down on a ledge of rock that jutted out of the mountain. She pulled both Olivia and Ed from the car. Anna next located her phone but was unable to get a signal to call 911 even though she tried again and again. Anna passed out but when she woke she used the flashlight on her phone to see if there was any way for her to climb to the road. There was not. She went to sleep again with Ed and Olivia’s heads on her chest. When she woke she tried to feed Olivia and Ed. Olivia drank some lemonade. Ed would neither eat nor drink but he was still breathing.
