Part Four: The Devil's Bride, Chapters 40-43 Summary

Rowan and Michael's wedding and reception take place in Chapter 40. Michael sees something that scares him during the reception, but he does not tell Rowan what it is. Ryan kicks everyone out of the house so that Rowan and Michael can begin their wedding night together. Rowan starts feeling sick and goes down to the kitchen. In the kitchen, Lasher speaks to Rowan and tells her to come to him without telling Michael or Aaron. Rowan returns to the bedroom, and Michael realizes that Rowan is nauseous because she is pregnant.

In Chapter 41, Rowan is anxious to leave for the honeymoon. She and Michael talk about the baby. Rowan worries about what to do about Lasher. She also wonders about her powers and fears she might hurt her developing baby. Rowan...
