Part One: Come Together, Chapters 6-8 Summary

Rowan Mayfair arrives at Michael's house to take him to her boat. Aaron Lightner watches them leave. As Rowan drives Michael to her house, they talk. She realizes that he has not received the letter she wrote him. She tells him what she remembers from his rescue. Michael touches her hand and sees a flash of Graham dying on the kitchen floor after an argument. Rowan tells Michael that she wants him to use his power for her. Michael goes out to the boat, but he learns nothing. Rowan makes suggestions about his purpose he has not considered. She starts to cry, which leads to lovemaking. Rowan tells Michael her story, about her loneliness and her psychic powers. Michael tells Rowan about his story and his visions. As Michael leaves for New Orleans...
