Pemberton was truly resourceful. Within a few short days he provided Charlie with the location of the elusive Honda involved in the car chase. It was being housed at a rental cottage nearby. Charlie and LuAnn bickered over who would investigate further. They each decided to go, but didn't share this information with the other. Matt Riggs followed at a safe and undetectable distance.
