Part Two: Chapters 18-22 Summary

Part Two opens ten years after LuAnn's disguised departure from the United States. She has hidden successfully and traveled across many countries. Despite her wealth, LuAnn has felt unsettled and yearned to come home. Doing so was a dangerous proposition because it directly defied Jackson's orders.
