Section 11: Chapters 26-28 Summary

In Chapter 26, Hock Seng wishes he had risked everything to rob the safe since it is dependent on its contents, but learning there is no transit due to Jaidee's death, he decides to flee; it is time to give up on the blueprints and focus on securing his survival. Anderson and Carlyle meet with Akkarat and the Somdet Chaopraya in Chapter 27, but it is obvious that Akkarat distrusts the farang. In an attempt to offer something more unique, Anderson offers his company's next iteration of U-Tex rice, and he also takes them to Raleigh's tower where he introduces the Somdet Chaopraya to Emiko.
