Summary

“Part Nine: Jane” starts with the 29th chapter. Jane goes to meet Tripp at his house. He tells Jane he thinks Eddie killed Blanche and Bea. He encourages Jane to run away while she can. Jane goes home and searches the house for some clue about Eddie. She finds Bea’s journal hidden inside the book in Eddie’s coat. She finds the closet with the hidden door at the back and opens it, discovering Bea.

In “Chapter 30,” Bea asks Jane if Eddie is home. Jane says no, but then Eddie walks into the room.

“Part Ten: Eddie” starts with the 31st chapter. Eddie narrates in the first-person present. He gets home from work late. He intends to talk to Bea about the mess they are in, but when he gets inside, he sees that Jane has found the panic room. He walks...
