Summary

In Chapter 4, Vanessa sits in the dressing room thinking about her ex-husband’s coming wedding day. She knows the sound of his new bride’s voice because she calls her sometimes on a phone with a blocked number. Her thoughts are interrupted by her boss, Lucille, telling her a customer needs help. When Vanessa steps out of the dressing room Lucille asks if she feels well. She starts to ask if Vanessa thinks she can finish the day but then decides Vanessa might be contagious and tells her that she should leave.
