Summary

Elner dies in 2006. About a year earlier, the town thought she had died and ran her obituary. Elner liked it and they ran it again when she actually died. Elner is very happy at Still Meadows with all of her old friends.

Macky is very sad after Elner dies and tells the waitresses to leave town, there is nothing more that he thinks will ever happen here. Verbana, one of Elner’s friends who was also in The Sunset Club, dies in a very distressing way to her. She dies from an exploding toilet. She has always been very proper, so this is an ironic way for her to die.
