Summary

Chapter 18

Goldy awakens early the next morning. A of team crime-scene techs had worked in the backyard and alley through the night and found nothing, and Tom tells her that another team will be there later that morning. Tom says that Father Pete has still not regained consciousness, but it appears he had been able to dig his fingernails into whoever had stabbed him, and Tom has put a rush on the DNA analysis. He then tells Goldy that she isn’t to take a step anywhere outside the house unless Boyd is by her side, and leaves for work. Goldy calls Marla – who complains about being awaked at 6:50 AM – and tells her about the attack last night.
